Our story
A calmer way to get things done.
Hi, I am Jelena, the one person behind CalmDone. I make planners, write the Calm Journal and share one simple idea: write your day as already done, and it starts to feel possible. This is the story behind CalmDone, told honestly, from the first drive home to the planners on your desk today.
How it began
The story behind CalmDone: two words in a car.
CalmDone started in September 2025, on a drive home from work. I was tired and tense, and I heard myself say it out loud: calm down. A few days later I put two words together, calm and done, and the name stayed. Everything since then, the planners, the Calm Journal and the Done List Method, grew from that one quiet moment.
I am not a designer by training. I have a master’s degree in graphic technology, the printing side of things, and I still work at a printing house during the day. I had no web background at all, so I built this brand and this website on my own, from scratch, in the evenings, between work and two small children.
Last year I read Joseph Murphy, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, and Roxie Nafousi, Manifest. Both stayed with me because they say something very simple: the mind responds to the picture you give it. So I tried writing my tasks the other way around.
The Done List Method
Write tomorrow in the past tense.
Instead of finish the report, you write I finished the report. It sounds small, and that is the point. A to-do list feels like a debt. A done list feels like momentum.
Write it as done
Put what you plan to do in the past tense, before the day begins.
Feel it for a moment
Picture it finished and let your mind settle into that calm.
Live the day
Move through your tasks with less dread and more direction.
Why planners
Pages that start with you.
As a mother of two I noticed I was putting myself last, in my planner too. I wanted pages that begin with you: your wins, your week, your calm. That is how my first planners were made, and the DREAM Collection followed, undated weekly planners designed by me, each with its own focus. Every planner is printed on demand by Lulu, so each copy is made fresh for you and nothing sits unused in a warehouse.
If you take one thing from this page, let it be this: you do not need a perfect morning routine or a bigger plan. You need a small, kind ritual you can repeat, and a place to write it down.
I am not a coach and I do not promise miracles. I make tools that I use myself, and I tell you honestly what they are and what they are not.
