Minimal beige blog cover with text “7 Hermetic Laws of the Universe and How Mel Gill’s Book Changed My Life” in CalmDone aesthetic style about law of attraction, mindset and spiritual growth.

For the past two years, ever since I started practicing calmness and becoming more intentional with my thoughts, my life has slowly started to change.

I began reading more.
I began breathing before reacting.
I began giving myself time instead of instantly falling into stress.

And honestly? That transformation did not happen overnight.

Learning patience takes time. Real calmness takes time. In fact, today I told my little girl exactly that: “Be patient. Good things take time.”

And it’s true.

I truly believe the Universe feels our energy.
It feels gratitude.
It feels love.
And somehow, it gives that energy back to us.

Lately, I’ve had a habit of writing down 4–5 books I want to read in the notes app on my phone. A few days ago, I went to a nearby bookstore hoping to find one of them.

None of the books on my list were there.

The old version of me would probably have become frustrated immediately. But this time, I stayed calm. I slowed down. I told myself, “It’s okay. Let’s just look around.”

So I started browsing the shelves.

And then something strange happened.

I kept walking past one particular book over and over again. Every time I moved away from it, I somehow felt pulled back. It almost felt like something was whispering:

“Take this one.”

That book was The Meta Secret by Mel Gill.

I’m only halfway through it, but I already felt the need to write about it and share my first impressions.

The book is incredibly easy to read, yet deeply powerful. It talks about the Hermetic Laws of the Universe, mindset, energy, and especially the Law of Attraction in a very simple and practical way.

The next day after reading part of the book, I started talking to my coworkers about the Hermetic Laws and how we always have a choice in how we experience life.

Even in negative situations, we can choose to focus on something positive.

We can choose gratitude.

We can choose peace.

We can choose joy.

And maybe that sounds simple — but I truly think it changes everything.

Here’s a small example.

You wake up in the morning and drive to work. There’s traffic everywhere. Normally, you might get annoyed immediately.

But instead, imagine choosing a different thought:

“I’m grateful I have a car. I’m grateful for this music playing. I’m grateful for another day.”

You relax.
You stop fighting the moment.
And suddenly, the traffic starts moving.

That is exactly how I now understand the Law of Attraction.

Not as magic.
But as energy.
As focus.
As the emotional frequency we choose to live in every day.

So I spent the entire day trying to live with that mindset.

Later that evening, after work, I opened Facebook to relax for a few minutes. On The Secret page — which I’ve followed for a long time — I suddenly saw a quote that perfectly matched everything I had been thinking about all day:

“Feel the joy, be the joy. Joy attracts joy.”

And I honestly smiled so hard when I saw it.

It felt like confirmation. Like one of those small moments in life that quietly reminds you that your thoughts, energy, and emotions really do matter.

That’s the whole point.

If topics like the Universe, energy, the Hermetic Laws, mindfulness, and manifestation fascinate you even a little, I genuinely recommend reading books like this and exploring these ideas for yourself.

I still have a few chapters left to read, but I already know this book came into my life at exactly the right moment.

And now I’d love to hear from you.

Do you believe in the Law of Attraction?
Have you ever experienced moments that felt too meaningful to be just coincidence?

Let’s talk in the comments.
