7 Moments That Show Why We Crave Calm — Christmas Gifts , New Year Beginnings & Planners for 2026
There are seasons in life when everything around us speeds up. We’re somehow expected to speed up with it.
The end of the year is exactly that season. The world rushes to buy Christmas gifts. Everyone is hunting for the perfect New Year ritual. Suddenly, everyone starts searching for a planner that will magically organize their life.
And yet… in the middle of all that rush, I caught myself choosing to slow down.
I know this is the peak season for planner shopping. Even so, I’m designing the new Done List™ planners slowly, calmly, and intentionally. This is exactly the way they should be made. Because if something carries the CalmDone™ name, it deserves more than last-minute chaos. It deserves presence.
In this blog, I want to share 7 moments that show why the world is collectively craving calm. I will also explore how that craving shaped everything I’m creating for 2026.
These moments are personal, emotional, practical, and very real.
Just like the way we live.
1. When Christmas gifts feel less about “stuff” and more about meaning
Every year, we see the same hustle. People search for the perfect Christmas gift. It must look thoughtful and feel luxurious. The gift should somehow capture the feeling of “I care about you.”
What’s different now is the intention behind the gifts.
People don’t want noise anymore.
They want meaningful simplicity.
A planner has become the “it” gift for women. It is especially popular if it brings structure, reflection, and peace. Women want more than a scented candle and less than a gadget they’ll forget in a drawer.

A planner says:
You matter.
Your time matters.
Your dreams matter.
On my blog, I already explored this shift in depth in:
Christmas Gifts 2026: Done List™ Method Planner Edition
And the response from women across the world?
“I want something that actually helps me breathe again.”
That’s the calm they’re looking for.
2. When the New Year starts calling us earlier than ever
The New Year always carries a certain magic.
But lately, I feel like the desire for a fresh beginning starts even before December begins.
Women are planning their routines. They are choosing their goals. Women are imagining who they want to become — not in January, but already in the autumn.
It’s a collective emotional shift.
Everyone I talk to says the same thing:
“I’m so ready to start over. To reset. To feel lighter.”
My piece
“The Original Done List™ Method”
has become extremely popular. This is precisely why it is one of the most shared pages on my site.
Because people aren’t looking for “more motivation.”
They’re looking for a system that removes overwhelm.
A system that feels gentle… not aggressive.
A system that lets them breathe.
3. When people start searching for a planner not because they want to do more — but because they want to do LESS
This is my favourite shift of all.
The modern woman doesn’t need a planner that screams:
DO MORE
FILL EVERY HOUR
OPTIMIZE YOUR ENTIRE EXISTENCE
She wants a planner that finally tells her:
“You don’t have to do everything.
Just do what matters — and finish it calmly.”
That’s why the Done List™ method resonated so strongly.
You write tasks in past tense as if they were already done. Your brain responds differently to completion than to pressure.
I wrote about that here:
“5 Calm Moments That Changed My Productivity”
This is also why Planner 2026 has become such a global keyword.
People are not searching for planners…
They’re searching for permission to slow down without falling apart.
And yes — that feeling is embedded in every page of the new Done List™ planner I’m working on.
4. When manifesting becomes less woo-woo and more “I want my life to feel intentional”
Manifesting is having its renaissance.
But not the version from 2019, with glittery journals and “repeat this mantra 77 times.”
No.
Women today are manifesting in a grounded, practical, emotionally mature way.
They want:
✨ quiet reflection
✨ daily gratitude
✨ small intentional routines
✨ mental clarity
✨ peace, not pressure

And that energy fits beautifully with the CalmDone™ philosophy.
Manifesting isn’t magic.
It’s self-respect in daily form.
It’s the reason my upcoming Manifestation Planner is highly requested. I haven’t shown a single preview yet.
People are not manifesting “things.”
They’re manifesting peace.
5. When digital chaos makes paper feel like a sanctuary
We are drowning in notifications.
Emails.
WhatsApp.
Viber.
Slack.
Instagram.
Messenger.
News apps.
Random alerts that no one asked for.
Our brains are doing overtime.
People feel a return to safety when they sit down with a planner. This planner is physical, quiet, beige, and linen-textured.
Paper does something our screens can’t:
📌 it slows the mind
📌 it creates focus
📌 it brings presence
📌 it gives you clarity you forgot to feel
That is why the design of the new Done List™ planner is not rushed.
I refused to create one more product in the noise.
Instead, I’m building a sanctuary on paper.
A little ritual you open every morning.
A place where time feels yours again.
6. When life pushes you into chaos… and you choose calm anyway (even when Instagram suspends you 😂)
Here comes the funny — and very real — part.
I was preparing my Christmas content. I was also working on planner previews and daily calm posts.
Instagram and Threads decided to suspend me.
No warning.
No explanation.
No sense.
Just — poof.
At first, I thought: “Great. Perfect timing.”
But then something unexpected happened:
I felt calm.
I didn’t panic.
I didn’t throw my phone.
I didn’t beg the algorithm gods.
I simply thought:
“Maybe the universe wants me to slow down right now. This way, I can finish my planners the way they deserve.”
And honestly?
It worked.
I poured that unexpected pause into the layouts. It influenced the texture choices and the quotes. It touched the rhythm of the pages, the spacing, and the intention.
Suspension brought silence.
Silence brought clarity.
Clarity brought design.
This season taught me something important:
Calm is not the absence of chaos.
Calm is a decision you make inside chaos.
7. When creating becomes a spiritual practice, not a race
Every year, most creators rush through the holiday season.
The logic is always the same:
“Hurry. Sell. Push. Deliver. Post. Promote.”
But this year, something shifted in me.
I don’t want to rush.
I want to do it right.
And that’s why — even though this is the peak planner-buying season — I’m moving slowly, intentionally, with full presence.
Because design is energy.
Your planner should not carry stress.
Your planner should carry peace.
So I’m sketching at my own pace.
Choosing materials with love.
Adjusting layouts until they feel like breath, not pressure.
Building something that can really support a woman’s life — not complicate it.
The world is craving calm.
And I refuse to meet that craving with hurry.
